Meet the Company

The first generation of LRJ began with “Lloyd R. Johnson Engineering and Construction.” Lloyd came to California to develop March Air Force Base on a survey crew. His son, Lee R. Johnson, continued to work in the construction industry after serving in the Navy and finishing a Bachelor of Arts from Sacramento State University. In 1976 Lee was licensed and formed “L.R. Johnson Construction.”
In 1991, Lee’s oldest son Gene R. Johnson came to work for LRJ after developing his leadership skills and experiences in concrete pumping; he quickly became the backbone of the company's field work.  Next to join LRJ from the family was Gene’s son-in-law Jesse Henson in 2014.  Then in 2016 Gene’s oldest son Jon R. Johnson came to the company after serving in the Navy Seabees for 13 years and finishing his Bachelor of Science at Liberty University.
As you can see, L.R. Johnson Construction is a family company through and through.  Our foreman Steve Creason has been with the company for over ten years and is a part of the family. Our staff is our strength, and we take our work personally because it’s our family!
Our services include equipment rental, rough and finish grading, paving, concrete, demolition, weed and brush removal, dust mitigation, excavation, hazardous waste removal, flood control, large scale landscaping, erosion control, and roll-off service for trash, asphalt, steel, and concrete dumpsters. We place a priority on completing each job with the highest standard of professionalism and integrity-from the bid right through the completion of each project. It is our philosophy that our clients will get what they expect: quality work, on-time and within budget. Our family and staff will meet your expectations with a depth of effort and skill that is unparalleled in our industry.
